ER&D Program Objectives

The Astralux Entrepreneurial R&D program is a unique and innovative approach to starting a successful business based on your early-stage technology ideas. Designed with technology researchers and inventors in mind our program helps principal investigators conceive, grow, and launch companies while leveraging the financial, administrative, and business management resources of the established Astralux organization.

Astralux provides early funding, professional management, and physical infrastructure to guide and support the emerging technology as it transitions from the laboratory to the high-growth-mode profile desired by Series-A venture firms.

The ER&D program has mutual objectives with the inventor. Common Inventor goals include:

Want to keep control

Want fair (hopefully huge) value

Want to see his/her technology commercialized

Don’t want to see technology get buried, i.e. failure protection

Maximum exposure for great concepts

Our goals here at Astralux, with respect to the inventor, include:

Want inventor to stay involved with control

Want to see inventor get fairly compensated

Want to commercialize new technology

Want to return technology to inventor if unsuccessful (reversionary rights)

Want to be associated with great concepts
